MANDALAY (24 August 2016) – Myanmar bounced back to draw Vietnam 1-1 on the second match day of the KBZ Bank Under-19 Cup that was played last night at the Mandalar Thiri Stadium in Mandalay, Myanmar.
Vietnam, who had beaten Thailand two days earlier, scored from the penalty spot through Tan Sinh in the 22nd minute as Shwe Ko then grabbed the equaliser also from the spot eight minutes to the end.
With the draw, Vietnam have picked up four points while hosts Myanmar only one point from two matches played following their 4-1 loss to Consadole Sapporo Club’s U18 earlier.
In the meantime, Thailand bounced back to beat Consadole Sapporo Club’s Under-18 team 3-1.
It was Thailand’s first win following their narrow defeat in the first match of the competition.
Heading into the final round robin game on Friday, Myanmar will take on Thailand while Vietnam will play Consadole Sapporo.
