YANGON (15 April 2014) – The Myanmar national Under-19 team got their preparation for the AFC Championship later this year on the right note when they beat their counterparts from Japan 1-0 in a friendly.
In the match that was played at the Youth Training Centre, the Myanmar youngsters scored the only goal of the game in the 21st minute through Mg Mg Soe.
In the meantime, the Vietnam U19 side were held to a scoreless draw by French youth team from Lille in their tour of Europe.
The AFC U19 Championship will be held in Myanmar this year on 9-23 October.
