BANGKOK (29 August 2014) – Thailand’s Under-23 will take on their counterparts from Myanmar in two days and also Qatar on 7 September in what will provide tests for the team preparing for next month’s Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.
Both matches will be played in Phuket where the Thai U23 team is currently being based under chief coach Kiatisak Senamuang.
“It will be two important matches for us,” said Kiatisak at a recent press conference, shortly before the team’s departure to Phuket. “We don’t have a lot of time, so having these two quality matches will allow us the chance to assess the players and also the team as a whole.”
For the Asian Games in Incheon, Thailand are in Group E against Maldives, Timor Leste and Indonesia.
