BANGKOK (11 August 2009) – Muang Thong United moved into second in the Thailand Premier League when they destroyed TOT FC 3-0 at the Thunderdome Sports Complex.
Defender Nataporn Phanrit headed the hosts in front just before the break before international striker Teerathep Winothai found the target in the second half. But despite being reduced to ten men following the sending off of Dango Siaka, the city side nailed their third goal in the game off Yaya. At the Sirindhorn stadium, league leaders Chonburi FC overcame Pattaya United 2-0 with goals off Arthit Sunthornpit and Ivory Mohamed while at the Tanarom ground, Osotspa M-150 delighted their fans with a 3-1 victory over Nakhon Pathom. Mensah Russ, Patipol Petchviset and Sarayuth Chaikamdee scored for Osotspa while Nakhon Pathom’s breakthrough came courtesy of Abed Bironse.
