Muang Thong Maintain Pace With Five TPL Games To Go

BANGKOK (7 Oct 2012) – With just five matches left to the end of the season, SCG Muang Thong United maintained the pace at the top of the Thai Premier League 2012 where this week they thumped Esan United 3-0 at the SCG Stadium.

With the score at 1-0 at the break through Brazilian striker Paolo Rangel’s early 15^th strike, the former champions then added two further advantage after the break off an own-goal from Guy Hubert in the 80^th minute before Rangel then added his second and Muang Thong’s third deep in injury time.

Elsewhere, second-placed Chonburi FC were also on the up as they beat struggling BB-CU FC 4-1 at the Chonburi Stadium – with goals from Nurul Sriyankem (55th minute), Panuwat Junta (67^th), Pipob On-mo (83^rd) and Therdsak Chaiman (89^th).

Hosts Pattaya United fell to a 3-1 loss at home to TOT SC at the Nong Prue Stadium while TTM Chiang Mai were also at the wrong end at home at theChiang Mai 700th Anniversary Stadium when they conceded a 5-2 defeat to Thai Port FC.
