BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (18 Jan 2013) – With three wins from three matches, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) have not only maintained a 100% record in the DST Super League thus far but they have also taken over the top spot previously occupied by Majra FC.
And this week, they went to the summit of the championship when they thrashed Liang Lumut Recreational Club Football Team (LLRC FT) 4-0 as captain Affendy Akup, Abdul Azizi Ali Rahman, Budiman Jumat and Muhammad Bahrin Hamidon all found the back of the net.
“It was one of our best performances in the DST Super League so far,” said Major Azaman Hussin, the team manager of MS ABDB, who is also the reigning DST FA Cup champions.
“All the players contributed to the game and it was a very good team performance. The first ten minutes was very balanced but when we scored the first goal, the momentum shifted towards us. It was the starting point for us and we controlled the game afterwards.”
