BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (21 Sept 2015) – MS ABDB (The Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council) opened up an eight-point lead at the top of the DST Super League following their 2-0 win over Najip I-Team.
Just for minutes in, Razimie Ramli gave MS ABDB the lead when he nodded in the cross from Mohammad Haizul Rani Metussin.
In the 16th minute, MS ABDB doubled their advantage when Mazazizi Mazlan converted a penalty after Abdul Azizi Ali Rahman was brought down inside the box by Mohd Faiz Fakhrur Razi Muhd Rasyid.
“We got lucky, Najip was a very tough team to beat tonight. They challenged us especially in the first half. Securing three points is the main goal here but we need to really focus now,” said MS ABDB interim manager Razanol Hardi Abd Razak.
The army men are now eight points clear on top with 33 points from two-time defending champions Indera Sports Club while Najip remained third with 24 points.
