MANILA (29 Sept 2012) – The United Football League Cup will gain more coverage this year with partner AKTV agreeing to show matches on prime time twice a week instead of the weekend schedule of matches.
“We’re excited to say that the UFL will now be shown twice a week instead of our usual Saturday schedule,” said Vitto Lazatin, AKTV Sports5 manager.
The draw for the new 2012 season was made this week with the 20 participating teams being divided into four groups. The season will begin on Tuesday at the University of Makati field in Makati City.
Newly-crowned champion Global FC will take on Pasargad FC in Group A while title contender Kaya FC will open against Green Archers United FC in Group B.
