PETALING JAYA (Jan 19, 2008) – Through the close solidarity of the Asean countries, the region will be hosting several courses throughout the year in line with the view of joint effort to improve the quality of the game.
Four Administration and Management Course will be held in 2008 – with each lasting five days – with the hope that it will mould future administrators imbued with the right knowledge of the modern game. All four modules will have the compulsory syllabus on FIFA, FIFA Statutes and Regulations, Confederations and Member Associations. In addition, Module One will also feature syllabus on Finance Management and Planning, Module Two on Marketing and Communications, Module Three on Event Management and Competitions and Module Four on Club Management. There will also be an Administrative Course for Office and Event Staff of Member Associations. A total of six Refereeing Courses will be held throughout the year so as to produce calibre referees which can of service at the highest level of the game. With each course lasting five days, the Modules are Referee Instructors and Assessors (FIFA/Regional), Elite/Potential Elite Referees Course (FIFA/Regional) and Newly Registered FIFA Referees (FIFA/Regional). The others are Pre-Season Preparation Course (Member Association), Promotional Course (Member Association) and New Referee Course (Member Association). In addition to the above, the region will also host two Competition and Match Organisation Courses which includes Match Commissioners/General Coordinators as well as for Media Officers. Two Coaching Courses has also been planned for the year – one for Technical Directors and the other for Conditioning. |
