BINH DUONG (29 June 2014) – New Vietnam coach Toshiya Miura is ‘comfortable’ as he heads out for his first test against Myanmar in a friendly next week at home in Binh Duong.
Following his appointment as the new coach of the Vietnam national side more than two months ago, Miura finally got down to work this week following the team’s first training camp after their failed Asian Cup campaign.
“I feel comfortable with players and there is little difference here, except for the quality of grass,” said Miura.
“Because they are playing in the V-League, their physical condition is good, so I will mainly focus on tactical training exercises.”
The team is currently in training at the Go Dau Stadium in the southern province of Binh Duong.
“With the advantage of playing at home, I want our players to play highly intensive and quick attacking football and take more shots at goals, and not only possession,” added the 51-year-old Miura.
