HANOI (26 Dec 2014) – With an eye on the SEA Games in Singapore next year and also the next ASEAN Championship in 2016, Vietnam national team coach Toshiya Miura has called for a more systematic V-League calendar.
Following the team’s failure to lift the AFF Suzuki Cup this year, Miura feels a suitable domestic competition will allow him the opportunity to call on the players more often and allow for better development of the national team as a whole.
This was impressed upon following the meeting between Miura and also the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) recently.
The first centralised training will be held in May.
