PHNOM PENH (6 March 2010) – Naga Corp FC’s hope of a positive start to the season suffered further humiliation when Preah Khan Reach FC beat them 2-1 for the third spot in the Hun Sen Cup 2010.
The defending Cambodia Premier League champions had lost out of a place in the final this year when they conceded a defeat in the semi-finals to Phnom Penh Crown FC. But their hopes of winning at least third position in the Hun Sen Cup suffered heartbreak when they lost their composure in the second half against Preah Khan. Naga Corp had taken a 2-0 lead at the break with a double from Kop Isa in the 15th and 18th minute. But Preah Khan bandied together in the second half and they duly nailed the first goal off international midfielder Sam El Nasa at the hour mark. Khuoun Laboravy then equalized for Preah Khan with the second goal in the 72nd minute before Hieng Saravuth then delivered the winner seven minutes later. The final match of the Hun Sen Cup between Phnom Penh Crown FC and National Defense Ministry FC will be played tomorrow. |
