JAKARTA (25 June 2013) – Argentinean great Maradona will finally make his appearance in Indonesia, slated for 29 June to 2 July where he is scheduled to make four stops.
The four cities that will be visited by the 1986 World Cupper are Jakarta, Medan, Surabaya and also Makassar.
“His schedule is tight for sure but this is also due to his own request when he wanted more time with the coaching clinic to engage the kids,” said Edi Sofyan, the spokesman for the organisers.
It is believed that the cost of bringing Maradona to Indonesia cost organisers USD 1.2 million, and that does not include private flights and added security.
