JAKARTA (12 August 2016) – With the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta currently closed for renovation ahead of the Asian Games in 2018, the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) have opted to use the Manahan Stadium in Solo as their venue for all their matches.
With the AFF Suzuki Cup coming up at the end of the year, Indonesia will be playing a handful of friendly matches as part of their tune up.
The national side will take on Malaysia on 6 September 2016. Earlier, the Indonesia Under-19 side will also play the Philippines at the same venue on 20 August.
“These two matches will be good for the Indonesian public,” said PSSI’s Hinca Pandjaitan this week.
Initially, the PSSI had opted to use either the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya or the Gelora Deltra Stadium in Sidoarjo.
