KUALA LUMPUR (19 Sept 2012) – KONG LEE TOONG, husband of the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) former finance director Amelia Gan, has been charged with stealing documents from the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
DPP Kee Wei Lon said the alleged theft involved a “a financial document from AFC House” and occurred on July 31. Kong, 35, had earlier surrendered to police.
Kong is jointly charged with another unnamed person who is still at large, and faces a potential 10-year jail sentence. He was freed on bail and will re-appear in court on Oct 17.
