KUALA LUMPUR (31 Dec 2011) – The FA of Malaysia (FAM) will only be sending their Under-19 team for the Hassana Bolkiah Trophy (HBT) 2012 which will be held in Bandar Seri Begawan on 25 February to 5 March.
The HBT is making a return this year after editions in 2002, 2005 and 2007. But while previous editions had teams only under the age of 21-years-old, this time round the organisers are allowing five over-aged players.
But this has not prodded the FAM to take full advantage where they intend to stick to their development plans after announcing that the Malaysian will be using their
Harimau Muda B (U19 squad) team instead.
Prior to the meet in Brunei meet, the Harimau Muda B will be taking part in a Triangular Championship in Singapore on 17-21 February before heading to the sultanate.
