PETALING JAYA (23 July 2015) – The Malaysian Under-19 team is making all the right stride towards their participation in the AFF U19 Championship in Vientiane, Laos next month.
The AFF U19 Championship is being used by teams to polish up for the AFC U19 qualifiers later this year.
In Slovakia, the team under head coach Hassan Sazali Mohd Waras recorded their tenth win in a row this week with a 2-0 win over FK Lokomotiva Trnava.
The team did not start well in Slovakia when they fell to a 2-0 loss to FC Horna Nitra U19 last month. But they have since gone from strength to strength to win all their remaining matches.
“We are gearing up well for the AFF U19 Championship where we have lined up matches every two days to replicate what we will face in Laos,” said head coach Hassan Sazali.
“It is good that we have managed to maintain our winning run but I thought that we were still lagging in the first half.”
