HANOI (15 April 2012) – The Malaysian Under-21 team has confirmed their participation in the annual Thanh Nien U21 International Football Tournament to be held in the Central Highlands town of Pleiku in October.
This was confirmed through a letter sent by Dato’ Azzuddin Ahmad, the general secretary of the FA of Malaysia (FAM) to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and also the Thanh Nien newspaper, the organizers of the said event.
This year will be the sixth edition of the Thanh Nien-sponsored U21 International Football Tournament with the Malaysians having participated in five of them with their best achievement so far being a semifinal berth in 2010.
