PETALING JAYA (6 March 2013) – The Malaysian national team has announced a training squad of 27 players which will take on Saudi Arabia in a friendly that will be played on 17 March 2013 – as part of their preparation for the second match in Group D of the AFC Asian Cup qualifying round.
Malaysia will play Yemen in the Asian Cup qualifiers on 22 March 2013 after losing to Qatar 2-0 in the first game in Doha last month.
The team under chief coach Datuk K. Rajagobal will check into camp at the Wisma FAM on 11 March 2013.
Other than the qualifying match against Yemen, the Malaysians will also be playing against Palestine in a fund-raising game in Pahang on 26 March 2013.
