PETALING JAYA (5 Oct 2014) – The friendly between Malaysia and the Philippines scheduled for 11 October at the Shah Alam Stadium has been called off.
This was due to a change in the scheduling of the Malaysia Cup matches by the FA of Malaysia (FAM) in an effort to give more time to the Malaysian national team to prepare for the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup which will begin in the second half of November.
The Malaysia Cup return-leg quarter-final matches have now been rescheduled to 10-11 October instead of 17-18 October.
The first-leg semi-finals have been scheduled to 17-18 October and the second-leg for 24-25 October.
Barring any last minute changes the Malaysia Cup final is scheduled to be played on 1 November.
The match against the Philippines has now been rescheduled for next month where Malaysia will also take on Syria and Vietnam.
