PETALING JAYA (8 Sept 2009) – The Malaysian national Under-23 side completed their tour of the Middle East with a scoreless draw against Jordan.
The team under head coach K. Rajagobal, is being shaped for the SEA Games which will be held in Laos at the end of the year. “With the backing of some students and the representatives from the Malaysian embassy, the players played with a lot of spirit and they did not disappoint the fans who had come to watch the game,“ said Rajagobal after the match that was played at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman. The draw was the first for the Malaysians in the tour following their 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia in their first match and then a 1-0 defeat to a Saudi club side in the second match. The Malaysian U23 side will return to Kuala Lumpur this week where they have lined up a match against Lesotho this Friday (11 Sept 2009) at the KLFA Stadium in Cheras. |
