PETALING JAYA (5 Sept 2010) – The Malaysia national team fell to a 3-0 loss to Oman in a preparatory match for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 which will be held at the end of the year.
The team, under chief coach K. Rajagobal, found themselves down as early as the third minute at the Soud Abdulrahman Stadium when striker Hassan Rabia slots home. Oman, who are preparing for the forthcoming Gulf Cup, then doubled their lead through Imad Al Hosni in the 38th minute. The Claude Le Roy-led side then grabbed the third goal and the second for Imad a minute before the breather as Oman then continued their dominance in the second period of the game for the win. Malaysia’s next assignment will be for the Ho Chi Minh City Cup at the end of the month where their national Under-23 side will be up against their counterparts from Singapore, Iran and Vietnam. |
