KUALA LUMPUR (11 Sept 2012) – Defending AFF Suzuki Cup champions Malaysia fell to a 2-0 loss to Vietnam in a friendly that was played tonight at the Shah Alam Stadium.
Veteran striker Le Cong Vinh put the visiting side 1-0 in front in the 34th minute before they then added the second goal of the match just four minutes after the restart through Phan Thanh Hung.
Malaysia’s next friendly will be against Hong Kong on 16 October 2012 while for Vietnam, they will take on Indonesia in Surabaya in four days.
