BANGKOK (2 Sept 2019) – Newly appointed Thailand head coach Akira Nishino has named Supachai Jaided as the team’s lone striker ahead of their opening clash against Vietnam on 5 September 2019 at the Thammasat Stadium.
But that is not to say that the 20-year-old Buriram United will be all alone upfront where he will be ably supported by a handful of capable offensive players following Akiras naming of his 23-man squad this week.
Among them are Teerathon Bunmathan, Chanathip Songkrasin and Thitiphan Puangchan, who are all foreign-based players.
Thailand and Vietnam are in Group G of the second round qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which also consists of Indonesia, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
