KUALA TERENGGANU (8 May 2013) – Lions XII preserved their lead at the top of the Malaysian Super League with a crucial 2-1 win over Terengganu – courtesy of an injury-time own goal by Turtles defender Hasmizan Kamaruddin in the evening kick-off.
The home side took the lead just after the hour mark through Ismail Faruqi, but were pegged back through Bhaihakki Khaizan’s goal in the 79th minute. Just when it seemed both sides looked to share the spoils, Hasmizan handed the Causeway outfit all three points by heading into his own net.
