SINGAPORE (22 June 2012) – The 24th edition of the Lion City will kick off tomorrow at the Jalan Besar Stadium with the Singapore NFA Under-16 side taking on Holland’s AFC Ajax in the first game before the second match between the Singapore NFA U15 against Vasco Da Gama of Brazil later in the evening.
The other teams taking part in the tournament this year are Portuguese side FC Porto and England’s Manchester City.
The Singapore NFA U16 team finished third last year and will be looking to improve their finishing further under chief coach Dejan Glusevic.
The newly-assembled Singapore NFA U15 team has been hard at work over the past several months under former Singapore midfield maestro and skipper, Nazri Nasir.
