HANOI (1 March 2012) – The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) have appointed Ngo Le Bang as their new general secretary with immediate effect. Le Bang was the previous Technical Director with Thai Son Nam FC.
The VFF executive board announced the appointment this week with Le Bang replacing Dr. Tran Quoc Tuan (right of pix) who resigned last December. Fifteen out of 17 of the VFF executive board members voted for Bang, whose appointment was approved by VFF Chairman Nguyen Trong Hy.
“I was astonished when nominated for the post of general secretary of the VFF two months ago. With my experience and good contacts, I believe I will do well,” said Le Bang (left of pix), who was an assistant to coaches of football clubs such as Da Nang, Binh Duong, Sai Gon Xuan Thanh and the U-18 national team.
“Vietnamese football is facing changes and difficulties. I think I myself should change to be suitable for my present work. My foreign relations such as those with the Asian Football Confederation and ASEAN Football Federation are good.”
