LAOS U23 TO TRAIN WITH HOANG ANH GIA LAI

VIENTIANE (2 April 2008) – The national Under-23 team of Laos will be training with Vietnam club Hoang Anh Gia Lai as part of their preparation for the 25th SEA Games which Laos will be hosting in late 2009.

This development follows a recent agreement which was reached during the visit of Laos Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Langsavad to the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai.

Under the agreement, all expenses for the training stint at Hoang Anh Gia Lai will be covered by the Vietnam club.

The club in return hopes to recruit Laos football talents for their Arsenal-Hoang Anh Gia Lai JMG football institute.

For the moment though, there are still no specifics as to when exactly the training programme will begin.
