VIENTIANE (29 Dec 2015) – A Lao Premier League All-star team will take on Thai Premier League Champions Buriram United in a Charity match at the National Stadium in Vientiane on 31 January 2016.
“The LFF (Lao Football Federatio) have been able to mobilise some funding to stage the friendly match and concert, and proceeds from the event will assist to build schools in remote areas of Phongsaly and Saravan provinces,” said Dr Xaybandith Rasphone, the general secretary of the LFF.
A day before the friendly game, Buriram United will be holding a clinic for local junior footballers in Vientiane while a signing ceremony to extend cooperation between LFF and Buriram United from 2016 to 2018 would also be held.
Prior to the trip to Vientiane, Buriram United will play a Cambodian All-star team on 23 January as a fundraiser for Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital in Phnom Penh.
On 27 January, Buriram United will also host a K-League club.
