VIENTIANE (1 Dec 2011) – The Laos Football League will get more than cash injection from Vietnam’s Hoang Ang Gia Lai (HAGL) with the giant conglomerate set to also lend their football expertise.
HAGL announced this week that they are set to join the Lao government in organizing a Laos Professional Football League, which is being designed by the Laos Football Federation (LFF).
Other than cash injection, football expertise, HAGL are also looking at funding their own football club to play in Laos.
In Vietnam, HAGL invest nearly VND100 billion (USD5 million) in the HAGL FC a year.
Recently, HAGL have started to spend around USD1 billion in forest and rubber growing, airport, sugar, hospital and school projects in Laos’ poorest province of Attapeu.
