YANGON (6 March 2014) – Myanmar’s prodigal son Kyi Lin is desperate to get fit ahead of the AFC Challenge Cup in Maldives in May.
The speedy winger has been suffering from an ankle injury since the last SEA Games in December and where after receiving treatment in Thailand, has yet to recover fully from the ailment.
“Because of my injury, my mom has been so worried about me,” said the Yangon United frontman.
“I feel sorry for my fans that I can’t touch the ball.”
Kyi Lin has been with Yangon United since 2009 where he has won two Myanmar National League (MNL) titles.
For the AFC Challenge Cup, Myanmar are in Group A against hosts Maldives, Palestine and Kyrgyzstan.
