PHNOM PENH (13 May 2011) – Kirivong Sok Sen Chey FC proved that they are a class above Chhlam Samot when they beat the latter 3-1 in the Metfone Cambodia League 2011 match that was played at the National Olympic Stadium.
League debutants Chhlam Samot put up a hard fight in the opening first half of the match before Kirivong finally prised open the lead in the 38th minute off Oladiji Olatune’s opportune strike.
Kirivong then took a 2-0 lead at the half when Muhammea Berejo slammed the second goal of the evening on 44 minute.
In Vichka then put the game beyond the reach of Chhlam Samot with Kirivong’s third goal of the game in the 62nd minute of play.
Chhlam’s only goal of the game came off Touch Sok Heang in injury time.
