JAKARTA (20 March 2015) – The Indonesia squad under Benny Dollo has included midfield maestro Kim Kurniawan and also veteran striker Cristian Gonzalez into the squad that will play two friendlies in the coming week.
Indonesia will play Cameroon on 25 March before taking on Myanmar five days later. Both matches will be played at the Gelora Delta Stadium in Sidoarjo.
“The reason why I have decided to call on Kim was because Firman (Utina) was not available and also I thought that Kim would be a good replacement as the creative midfield in the long run,” said Benny.
“As for Cristian, he might be considered old at 39 years but he is still sharp in front of goals. He has been doing well in pre-season so there is no reason why I should deny him a spot.”
Centralised training has been set for 22 March.
