PHNOM PENH (21 Oct 2009) – Khmer Super Reds showed no mercy on the third match day of the FFC Hello Futsal League 2009 when they thumped Olympic Youth 17-6 to go two points clear at the top of the standings.
Olympic Youth who had scored the first goal of the game through Ket Dara in the fourth minute, simply had no reply against their more experienced opponents when the mercurial Suon Thun blasted in nine goals (8th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 22nd, 32nd, 33rd, 34th and 35th minute) as Seng Kimsong contributed five goals (8th, 22nd, 29th, 32nd and 33rd) to lead the Khmer Super Reds to their third win in as many matches. The other goal scorers for the Khmer Super Reds were Sok Sar (17th) and So Daravuth (26th and 32nd minute) as Olympic Youth tried to close the gap with goals off Tep Vanaro (11th, 27th and 37th minute) and Ny Zantin (19th and 27th minute). In the meantime, Tuol Sangker All Star battled to a 9-6 win over Panda FC. Meas Sophana’s hat-trick (1st, 5th and 17th minute) as well as goals from Keat Limty (8th), Narin Mony (14th) and Ning Kimheang (19th) allowed Tuol Sangker to race to a comfortable 6-0 lead at the half. And while Meas managed to add his fourth goal of the game in the 24th minute to put Tuol Sangker further 7-0 in front, Panda FC staged a blitz when they scored six goals ¨C all within seven minutes ¨C to put the game within reach. Sok Sopheara (24th and 25th minute), Yan Darapich (26th and 27th), Nhean Vatana (28th) and Dy Nany (32nd) were all on target to put the score at 7-6 in favour of Tuol Sangker. Luckily for Tuol Sangker, they had Ning Kimheang to thank for the three points when he completed his hat-trick with goals in the 33rd and 36th minute for the final scoreline. |
