PHNOM PENH (22 Nov 2009) – A 6-3 win over Olympic Youth has allowed Khmer Eisan to grab the lead in the FFC-Hello Futsal League 2009 – just six matches into the season.
Two goals within just the first three minutes of the first half set the tone and in the end the outcome of the match as Virak (2nd minute) and Van Sokritya slit open their opponent’s defence to give Khmer Eisan the lead. And while Olympic Youth did score their first goal of the game in the fourth minute through Kov Suy Heng, there was no stopping Khmer Eisan as they romped home for the full points with goals from Virak in the 6th, 10th, 16th and 21st minute. Olympic Youth’s other goals came from Suy Heng in the seventh minute and Tep Vanaro in the 28th minute. Rama Holding Group’s humiliating 16-6 loss to mid-table Dai Ek Kadde meant that they are still on second at the table with 13 points – two adrift of the leaders. Mao Narann (1st, 14th, 24th and 29th minute) Tepp Sovanpisith (5th, 19th, 22nd and 32nd) scored four goals each for the win with the remainder coming off Sarom Ponavath (26th, 36th and 38th), Meas Phana (7th and 10th), Van Saravuth (16th and 23rd) and Ning Sophas (17th).
