In the meantime, Selangor made the final of the Malaysia Cup despite going down 1-0 to Johor FC in the second-leg, semi final off a header from Walter Ariel Silva. But with the 2-0 advantage they gained from the first leg in Shah Alam, Selangor made the final on a 2-1 aggregate. The 32-times Malaysia Cup champions will play Kedah – a repeat of the FA Cup final this year – in the final of the Malaysia Cup at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
