SINGAPORE (20 Dec 2011) – Singapore’s LIONSXII will take on Johor in a friendly on 24 December as part of their preparation for the Malaysian Super League which they will be taking part in this year.
The team has been in training for the past two weeks under chief coach V. Sundram Moorthy
“This will be a good test for the team after been in training for just two weeks,” said Sundram.
The LIONSXII are a combination of the older players like Shahril Ishak, Hariss Harun, Agu Casmir and Baihakki Khaizan alongside the youngsters like Izwan Mahbub, Shakir Hamzah and Khairul Nizam.
Other than the match against Johor at the Jalan Besar Stadium, the LIONSXII will also take on Selangor PKNS and ATM.
