JAKARTA (6 Feb 2012) – One of Italy’s top club Inter Milan has confirmed two dates in in Jakarta in May. Called Internazionale Indonesia Tour 2012, Inter Milan will play two friendly matches – against Indonesia’s Selection team (24 May 2012) and Under-23 (26 May 2012)
Other than the two friendly games, Inter Milan will also be conducting coaching clinic.
“We’re happy and honored to announce that Inter Milan will come to Indonesia and play two games by the end of May,” said Ernesto Paolillo, chief executive officer of Inter Milan.
“We’ve chosen Indonesia because we have many supporters here. More than 15,000 fans are here, which is the biggest in Asia.”
Djohar Arifin Husin the president of the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) added that playing against world football giants like Inter would boost the morale of Indonesia’s players.
“It is always good to face and play against top players, which hopefully can inspire them and strengthen their fighting morale,” added Djohar.
Tickets for the match are pegged at between IDR 75,000 (USD 8.30) to IDR 5 million (USD 557).
