JAKARTA (25 May 2012) – Inter Milan gave the Indonesian selection squad a valuable football lesson last night when they sidestepped the hosts 3-0 in a friendly at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
“We gave Inter a hard fight in the first half and this is obvious when we only conceded that one goal towards the tail end of the tie,” said Aji Santoso, the chief coach of Indonesia. “But we will learn from this lesson.”
The Italian giant caved out their first goal of the game through Samuele Longo in the 37th minute before doubling their lead just minutes into the second half through Giampaolo Pazzini opportunistic finish.
In the 70th minute, a cross from Esteban Cambiasso found a perfect finish from Luca Tremolada as Inter made sure that the game is beyond Indonesia’s reach.
