JAKARTA (14 May 2014) – The Indonesian Under-23 team heading for the Asian Games later this year has lined up a match against Dominican Republic tomorrow night at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
Head coach Aji Santoso said that the Indonesian U23 side will be in confident following their 6-0 thrashing of the South Sulawesi U23 team last week.
The goals were scored off Aldair Makatindu (two goals), Syakir Sulaiman, Eki Taufik, Rizky Dwi Ramadhana and Bayu Gatra.
“Sure we won but what was more important was that the players showed a high level of combination play,” added Aji. “They have to bring the same level of commitment when they play Dominican Republic next.”
The Dominican Republic are placed 126th in the FIFA World rankings.
