INDONESIA U23 MOVE INTO FINAL PHASE OF SEA GAMES PREP

JAKARTA (21 Nov 2009) – The Indonesian national Under-23 side moved into their final phase of preparation for the SEA Games in Laos next month by moving their training base to Jakarta.

For the last several months, the U23 team has been training in Palembang.

There are no plans to play friendly matches up until their departure to Vientiane on 30 Nov 2009 with the team set to train only once a day.

For the SEA Games 2009 in Laos, Indonesia are in Group B against hosts Laos, Singapore and Myanmar, who were the silver medallist two years ago.

In Group A are defending champions Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Timor Leste and Cambodia.

Indonesia’s first match at the SEA Games this year will be against Singapore on 5 December 2009 at the National Stadium before taking on hosts Laos two days later at the Chao Anu-vong Stadium.

Their last group B match will be against Myanmar on 10 December 2009 at the Chao Anu-vong Stadium.
