SOLO (14 March 2015) – The Indonesian Under-16 team has moved their home to Solo from Jakarta in an effort to give them a better feel towards the AFF U16 Championship which will be held on 27 July to 9 August this year.
“We have been preparing the team since last year, which showed our seriousness to win this event,” said Joko Driyono, the general secretary of the FA of Indonesia (PSSI).
“We are playing at home which means that we have every possible opportunity to win the overall crown. So we must take the initiative to do everything possible towards that goal which also includes moving the team’s home base to Solo.”
Indonesia are in Group B against Australia, Philippines, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Group A are Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam and Timor Leste.
