JAKARTA (21 Dec 2011) – The next few weeks will be crucial for the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) as they start the selection process for the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy slated for 25 February to 5 March 2012.
The Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy will be participated by all 11 members of ASEAN where for the first time, the organisers will allow five over-aged players to take part.
With concerted efforts from all members of the PSSI, the selection process will begin on 27 December onwards although the chief coach chosen to lead the squad has yet to be announced by the national body.
“We will be doing a thorough selection process and we hope that all members of the PSSI will help us in getting the best players possible,” said Bob Hippy, the chairman of the PSSI Youth Development Committee.
“Other than the fact that we will have quality matches, the organisers are also sponsoring the teams taking part.”
