JAKARTA (19 Nov 2010) – The Indonesian national team flew into the city of Palembang this week as they prepare to play two friendly matches as part of their tune-up for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 next month.
They will play against Timor Leste on 21 Nov before taking on Taiwan three days later at the Jakabaring Stadium in Palembang. In the meantime Alfred Riedl, the chief coach of Indonesia announced that Persib defender Hariono has been dropped from the squad following his treatment with a virus in Jakarta which will require extensive recovery period. “When he came out from the hospital, we still managed to give him a trial but it was obvious that he could not cope physically. So we decided that it was for the best that we send him home instead,” added Riedl.
