JAKARTA (14 June 2014) – The Indonesian national side has lined up a friendly against newly crowned AFC Challenge Cup champions Palestine at the Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium this Wednesday.
Palestine was crowned the AFC Challenge Cup winner last month after beating the Philippines in the final. It has also given them a slot at the AFC Asian Cup in Australia next year.
Other than the game against Palestine, the team under Alfred Riedl will also take on Pakistan at the same venue on 21 June and then Rwanda at the Kanjuruhan Stadium in Malang on 25 June.
“The game against Palestine is confirmed. For the other two matches, we are just waiting for some documents from the FAs of both Pakistan and also Rwanda and also from FIFA,” said Sefdin Syaifudin, the secretary of the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) National Team Management.
