JAKARTA (3 May 2012) – The FA of Indonesia (PSSI) have set the target of qualifying for the final round of the AFC Under-22 Asian Cup.
“The U22 team has a series of target – the first being they must make the final round of the AFC U22 Asian Cup in 2013. They will also be taking part in the Asian Cup qualifiers as well as the SEA Games in Myanmar at the end of next year,” said Bob Hippy, the national team coordinator.
For the qualifying round of the AFC U22 Asian Cup in June, Indonesia are placed in Group E against Australia, Japan, Singapore, Macau and Timor Leste.
Bob said that other than skill, the team is looking for players with a high level of discipline to carry the challenge for Indonesia in the next year.
