JAKARTA (11 Oct 2014) – An Indonesian side bereft of several key players made it all too easy in their friendly against Timor Leste tonight when they romped to a 4-0 win at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
Just ten minutes in, Sergio Van Dijk prised open the lead as Zulham Zamrun then added the second goal of the game in the 40th minute.
Evan Dimas made sure that Indonesia were comfortable at 3-0 in front at the half with the third goal with two minutes remaining.
The second half were also Indonesia as they continued to press Timor but in spite of their possession, they only managed to score a single goal to add to their tally through Samsul Arif in the 68th minute.
For the AFF Suzuki Cup, Indonesia are in Group A against hosts Vietnam, Philippines and Laos.
Group B are hosts Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar.
