INDONESIA FUTSAL LEAGUE TO BEGIN IN APRIL

Following the end of the championship last year in November in which Electric PLN emerged victorious, this year’s tournament will kick off with the first leg on 23-26 April 2009 at the Hall A Basket Senayan in Jakarta.

There will be a total of six legs this year with the second being in Surabaya (Series II), Jogjakarta (Series III), Solo (Series IV), Bandung (Series V) before returning to Jakarta for the final four teams in the crossover semi-finals.

Thus far, the teams which have already confirmed their participation are defending champions Electric PLN (V-Sport), Biangbola, My Futsal, Pelindo II, Mastrans, Swap and Dupiad Fakfak.

For the moment, the Futsal League Management are still waiting for the final word from club Hanggar IBM Jakarta who have recruited Indonesian internationals Sayan Karmadi and goalkeeper Yos Adi Wicaksono.
