SOLO (15 Aug 2013) – Two goals in each half of an evenly contested affair gave the Indonesia national side a well-earned 2-0 win over the Philippines in a friendly last night at the Manahan Stadium in Solo.
Naturalised player Greg Nkwolo (pix) gave the home team the lead in the 31st minute off some good work from Hasyim Kipuw and Stefano Lilipaly. The Philippines fought hard for the equalizer after the break but in the 67th minute, they fell further behind when Muhammad Roby slammed in the second goal.

In the meantime, the Laos Under-19 team fell to a 5-1 loss to their counterparts from Vietnam in the first of a series of friendlies to be played in Pleiku this week.
Both teams are using the game as part of their preparation for the AFF Under-19 Championship that will be hosted by Indonesia on 9-22 September.
