BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (29 Jan 2013) – Basement side Najip FC found themselves being pummelled to a pulp when Indera SC piled 20 goals past them in the latest DST Super League in Brunei.
The 20-1 win for Indera was the biggest score line in the newly launched league as Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman and Azwan Ali Rahman scored eight and seven respectively.
Md Nur Ikwan Othman gave Indera SC the best of start with the first goal of the game just 45 seconds in where after taking a 2-0 lead through Mohd Aqmal Hakeem Abd Hamid just after seven minutes, there was no looking back for the title contender.
“We lost the last game (to Majra United FC) with the absence of two key players. We needed to win against Najip and to score more goals,” said Indera SC head coach Ishak Kabon.
“We needed this for a confidence booster ahead of our remaining matches. I’m happy with the way things turn out for us.”
